Family tradition
Clara Evans began preparing taxes in 1950 after marrying Alva Evans. After Alva passed away in 1965, Evans Tax Service grew from necessity into a trusted family business serving more than 2,000 clients.
Clara taught Kim Evans, Johnnie Wright, and other family members the income tax business. Johnnie Wright, who owned Wright’s Tax Service in Depew, Oklahoma, remained a close friend, brother-in-law, mentor, and trusted colleague through years of IRS schools, client support, and shared tax knowledge.
Kim opened Chandler Tax Service in Chandler in 1996. Today, Kim A. Evans and Tara Gates continue that tradition with personal, professional tax preparation, business and farm tax preparation, monthly bookkeeping, payroll services, and friendly local service.
